SNAKE OIL: Life's Calculations, Misdirections And Manipulations
2005 - Bartleby Press One day Jim Rose had an epiphany:
"What if all the street psychology of scam, fraud, rip off and con artists that I have studied was used in a legal way as part of a DIY marketing strategy?" I tried it with a show I was barely able to perform, it was all a bunch of made up on the spot stuff. I called it the Jim Rose Circus. Because of these marketing angles that very first show sold out and I never looked back. I ended up on the covers of THE WALL STREET JOURNAL, FAST COMPANY MAGAZINE and was the featured example of advertising acumen in the best selling business book THE DEVIANTS ADVANTAGE. I truly believe that my entire career path would not have been possible if I hadn't seen the snake oil salesman."

The problem with getting a real street education is that you have to go through a lot of hard knocks and pain for the degree. In 2005 Jim Rose remedied that dilemma for the masses. He wrote the most complete book ever offered on all things scam, fraud and con artist. What did he name the book? "SNAKE OIL" and it has just been re-released by Bartleby Press on the e-format Kindle.
