JIM ROSE TWISTED TOUR

The Travel Channel reality series captures life on the road with The Jim Rose Circus.
It takes a look inside the brave -- yet bizarre -- world of extreme performance with THE JIM ROSE TWISTED TOUR. Peopled with unique human beings who are imbued with twisted talents, performance artist and Ring Leader Jim Rose and his eccentric troupe -- The Jim Rose Circus -- traverse the country and reveal to Travel Channel viewers the ups and downs of touring on the road in this reality series. THE JIM ROSE TWISTED TOUR debuted Sunday, March 30, 2003.
Journeying from desert sands to city streets, THE JIM ROSE TWISTED TOUR travels coast to coast visiting some of the greatest cities in America, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, New Orleans, Washington, D.C., and New York City. Along the way, the troupe entertains packed houses and passersby with their hair-raising antics that employ live scorpions, cement blocks, and running lawnmowers. Along the way, Jim and his touring band of gypsies look for the eccentric, astounding and just plain weird within each and every ghost town and voodoo shop they come across. Jim and the gang also meet individuals who embrace alternative lifestyles like theirs, including lizard lovers, Mexican transvestites and a man with a nine-foot long moustache.
Through the unflinching eye of the camera, THE JIM ROSE TWISTED TOUR introduces viewers to the interpersonal relationships of the troupe as they deal with the stresses of a post-modernist traveling circus. Tensions build and tempers flare as the performers search for ways to maintain peace. Yet each of the performers must also deal with the emotional differences that make their talents -- and lifestyles -- so unique. Jim, as troupe leader, is challenged daily to keep this show -- and the cramped-yet-beautiful tour bus - - on the road. THE JIM ROSE TWISTED TOUR will amaze Travel Channel viewers as Jim and his dramatic personae present their astonishing feats. Performers in this world-famous troupe include Jim's wife Bebe, the Circus Queen who swallows scorpions and generates flying sparks from her crotch; Mr. Lifto, who hangs weights from eleven separate body piercings and can lift a keg of beer with his earrings; Rubber Boy, the contortionist who can fit his entire body through the head of a tennis racket; Cappy, a Yo-Yo expert who can perform any trick imaginable and Rupert, an illusionist who can balance a running lawnmower on his chin. Jim also performs with the group as the Human Blockhead, drilling nails up his nose, laying his face in broken glass and stapling a five-dollar bill to his forehead.
According to msn.com, The Jim Rose Twisted Tour "was arguably the most atypical weekly program ever to emerge from the normally traditionalist Travel Channel cable service".

The Jim Rose Twisted Tour is a Buccieri/Sparango production in association with Boxx Communications for the Travel Channel. David E. Gerber is executive producer for Travel Channel.
